I Want You Nikon D7000!!!

Posted at Thursday, December 23, 2010
I have been wanting to buy a digital SLR camera for a few months already. I was eyeing on the Nikon D7000 before it was released into the market last month. I thought that if the price is reasonable, I would buy it straight away. But unfortunately, it's way out of my budget. Sigh, there goes my Nikon D7000... I'm still contemplating whether I should buy it or not, regardless of the price. The only drawback for me is the weight, 780g! It's really heavy, mind you! I'm still putting the idea on hold.

I've tried on my friend's Nikon D60 (yes, it's an older model), and I quite like the settings (or should I say, I'm quite used to Nikon's settings), so that's one of the reason why I'm looking to buy a Nikon SLR.

Meanwhile I'm surveying on other digital SLRs in the market, which is much cheaper than this one. I was thinking maybe a Canon EOS 550D. A few of my friends are using this one, and they said they're very happy with it. This Canon is cheaper than the Nikon one. But anyway, I'm still contemplating... and I wonder how long more...

I might buy it if the price drop to a few hundreds, which I doubt it will until for maybe another year??? Sigh...

The Nikon D7000 is pretty amazing - for the full HD video and great low light performance I think it's worth the price. If you end up getting one, I found a site called D7000 world that has lots of information on D7000 accessories and prices.

Thanks Adam. it's an interesting website. I'm still trying to save up more money to buy this camera, hehehe. I did try to snap some photos with this SLR, and I'm quite happy with it, it's just the weight which is kind of heavy...

for me canon's dslr is a little not so user friendly when it comes to changing the setting while shooting.. perhaps i'm just too used to nikon.
when u start to join the SLR world, you'll be tempted to buy more and more and more..........
;p

Yes, I think I'm quite used to Nikon's settings too *high 5*. But I am still putting the idea on hold (don't know when will I buy!). Have to save up $ for the SLR itself, then later will slowly expand to the other accessories... :)))
